Orbit Jumper

Privacy Policy

Effective August 19, 2026

The short version

Orbit Jumper does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind — on any platform the game ships on. We never see who you are or how you play.

This policy covers

Orbit Jumper as published by M2IAB on every platform: the browser version, the Windows build (including the Microsoft Store), the macOS build, the Linux build (including the Snap Store), the Android build, and distribution through itch.io.

Data that stays on your device

The game saves your progress — the current run, career records and achievements, gear and material stash, ship cosmetics, and star-survey knowledge — locally on your device only. In the browser version this lives in your browser’s local storage; in the native builds it lives in the standard application-data folder for your operating system. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else — the game’s code contains no facility for uploading it.

To delete it: uninstall the app (or remove its application-data folder), or for the browser version clear your browser’s site data for the page the game runs on. There is nothing to delete on our side, because nothing about you is ever stored on our side.

Network connections the game makes

  • Playing in the browser — loading the game is an ordinary web request, and the server that hosts the game’s files receives the standard technical information any web server receives (such as your IP address) in order to deliver the page. We do not use that information to identify or track you. Once loaded, the game runs entirely on your device and works offline.
  • Update checks (macOS direct download only) — the signed macOS build downloaded from our site or itch.io periodically asks our release server whether a newer version exists. That request carries no personal data, no identifiers, and no gameplay data; it is an ordinary HTTP request. The Mac App Store build makes no network connections at all — updates arrive through the App Store itself.
  • During play — the game makes no network requests on any platform. The game’s code ships without any networking capability, and the Android app requests no permissions at all — not even internet access. There is no online service behind the game, no leaderboard, and no multiplayer. If a future version ever adds an online feature, it will be optional and this policy will be updated first.

Stores and platforms

If you download or purchase Orbit Jumper through a store (itch.io, the Microsoft Store, the Snap Store, Google Play, or the App Store), that store processes the download or payment under its own privacy policy. We receive no personal information from them about you.

Children

Orbit Jumper collects no data from anyone — including children. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing a parent or guardian would need to review or request deletion of.

Changes to this policy

If the game ever changes in a way that affects data handling, we will update this page and change the effective date above before the change ships.
